POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery on the A130.

It was reported a white Tipper van was driving between the Sadlers Farm roundabout and the Fairglen interchange at around 1.15pm on 10 January when two other vans pulled in front of it.

This forced the driver to stop his vehicle at which point a group of men got out, damaged his vehicle, assaulted him and stole a four-figure sum of cash from inside.

A police statement says: "We need anyone who saw anything or has any dash cam footage to contact us.

"If you have any information you can submit a report online here where you can use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am-11pm. Please quote the crime reference number 42/7923/22.

"You can also call us on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
