Fire crews cut two people free from vehicles after early morning A127 crash

THERE was significant disruption to traffic as the emergency services deal with an accident on the A127 this morning.

The accident happened at around 7.30am close to West Horndon and involved three vehicles on the London-bound carriageway.

Firefighters from Basildon and Brentwood were called to assist and worked with paramedics to help release two casualties trapped in their cars.

The casualties were released by 9am and left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
