Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Opens New Charity Shop in Basildon

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) has officially opened its newest charity shop in Basildon, marking an exciting milestone for the life-saving charity.
The shop, located at 79 Southernhay, was opened on Friday 7 March by Dr. Dan Worley, an EHAAT pre-hospital care doctor who grew up in Basildon and Victoria Joseph, Deputy Mayor of Basildon.
Dr. Dan, alongside EHAAT staff, volunteers, and supporters, cut the ribbon to mark the occasion, celebrating the charity's commitment to serving the local community.
EHAAT Retail Director, Leila Clarke, said: "Our charity shops play a crucial role in helping us raise the funds needed to keep our service operational. Basildon is a vibrant town, and we're delighted to open a shop in such a busy location. We hope the community will support us by shopping, donating, and volunteering."
The Basildon store is EHAAT's tenth charity shop and will offer a clearance concept, featuring clothing at affordable prices (£3 per item or four for £10), alongside small furniture and electrical goods.
The shop is actively recruiting volunteers, offering a great opportunity to support a vital local cause. Those interested can visit the shop or find out more at ehaat.org.
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance's Basildon Charity Shop, located at 79 Southernhay SS14 1EU, is open: Monday-Saturday: 09:00-17:00, Sunday: 10:00-16:00
