DOCTORS have delayed a move to switch off the life support system keeping a young Basildon woman alive in the hope that she may still make a recovery.

As reported on Basildon Nub News, the tragic circumstances leading to an overdose taken by 32-year-old Emma Price have included allegations of bullying at a former employer.

It was expected that the system would be closed down on Monday (22 July) but on a GoFundMe page aimed at raising money for either her post hospital care or a funeral, Emma's brother Thomas said: "My sister has had her breathing tube put into her trachea to see if this improves her breathing, they have given her a little more time due to her age."

"They have said there is still a slim chance that she will make it."
