Dramatic crash used to illustrate drink drive danger

POLICE have issued a picture of a badly damaged car that was involved in a drink drive incident in Basildon.

The car crashed yesterday (Thursday, 23 December) evening in Pitsea.

Police who attended the incident posted the picture and the following message on social media: "This is what happens when you mix alcohol, speed and fail to wear your seatbelt.

Thankfully this is not fatal."
