A VIRTUAL inquiry has been arranged in respect of land at the eastern end of Cornwall Road, North Benfleet which is subject to a disagreement between its owners and Basildon Council.
The Inspector, appointed by the Secretary of State, will hold the virtual inquiry at 10am on Tuesday, 6 July. It will be run in the normal way, but with parties invited to join via Microsoft Teams or by telephone.
The virtual inquiry is currently anticipated as sitting for one day and is open to members of the public.
For information on how to join, contact the council on 01268 533333 as soon as possible prior to the event.
The inquiry follows an appeal by Douglas Dean, James Blyth and Jack Blyth relating to the enforcement notices issued by the council alleging:
1) Without planning permission, the operational development consisting of the construction of an independently occupied dwelling house.
2) Without planning permission, the material change in the use of the land from woodland to the storage of construction and waste materials and domestic furniture.
3) Without planning permission, the material change in the use of the land from woodland to residential garden amenity space.
The Inspector's decision will be published online following the Inquiry here.
