Crews tackled rail station fire

Crews from Billericay and Basildon extinguished a fire on the roof of Billericay Fire Station on Saturday ( 15 May) afternoon.
There was no internal damage to the building and a full fire investigation is being carried out to determine the cause.
Station manager Jason Gould said: "Crews responded to a fire at Billericay Fire Station, which was quickly and safely brought under control.
"Firefighters from Billericay responded immediately, with support from Basildon. Our crews acted swiftly and effectively to contain the fire and prevent any further spread."
"I would like to thank the crews involved for their calm approach and professional actions throughout the incident. Their training and teamwork once again demonstrated the high standards across our Service."
