BASILDON and Billericay MP John Baron recently met with Alex Watson, director of The Billericay Brewery, which is this year celebrating its 10 years in business.

Mr Baron originally opened the Brewery in 2013 and, at the invitation of Alex and fellow director Trevor Jefferey, enjoyed a quick drink to celebrate with the team. 

He said: "I remember officially opening the brewery in 2013 and am delighted they have done so well during sometimes a difficult period, including COVID-19.

"It was a pleasure to meet Alex and the team, and we sampled a few of their excellent beers - my favourite being 'Rhythm Stick'! We'll be keeping in touch."  

Alex said: "It was good to see John Baron at the brewery again, 10 years after he cut the ribbon on our official opening.

The last few years have been very challenging for us and many other small businesses but we have managed to survive through those tough times."
