Charge and court appearance follows Festival Leisure incident

A MAN is due to appear in court today charged in connection with an incident at Festival Leisure Park, in Basildon.

The incident took place shortly before 4.30am yesterday morning (Sunday, 3 October).

A car had been driven at a group of people and one man was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury.

Shaquille Mathurin, 25, of Magnolia Close, in London, has been charged with GBH with intent, dangerous driving, possession of cannabis and driving without insurance.

He is due to appear at Southend Magistrates' Court this morning, Monday, 4 October.
