A BOROUGH-based firm will be hosting a recruitment open day on Saturday, 14 June to attract forklift and HGV drivers. 

Meyer Timber, at the Port of Tilbury is part of the Hadleigh Timber Group, and is looking to expand its workforce.

During the day there will be an opportunity for would-be staff members to meet the existing team at 44 Berth on the docks, take a warehouse tour, see forklift and HGV demonstrations and undergo mini interviews.

The event will run from 10am to 1pm and refreshments will be included.
