DETECTIVES are no longer treating the death of a woman in Dewsgreen, Vange, as murder.

Police were called to concerns for the welfare of the woman shortly after 6.40am yesterday morning (Thursday, 4 November). They arrived and found the woman, aged in her 60s, had died.

Initially, her death was treated suspicious, and a man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A forensic post-mortem examination has been carried out this morning, the results of which confirmed there was no third-party involvement in her death.

The police investigation is therefore being finalised and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

The 47-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge and will no further action.
