NEW bins and benches have been installed in Laindon after funds were allocated by the Laindon Town Centre Working Group.

Around £6,000 was allocated by the working group for the parks team to install new dog waste bins, litter bins and benches across Laindon.

Chairman of the Housing and Community Committee Cllr Kerry Smith said: "I'm pleased to see these items installed in areas where a need has been identified. They will help keep Laindon clean and tidy and provide places for people to rest and enjoy their areas."

The items were installed across the following areas: Great Berry open space, Langdon Hills Recreation Ground, Sporhams, Great Gregorie and Markhams Chase.
