All smiles after charity effort

Local News by Nub News Reporter 1 hour ago

A BILLERICAY dental practice has raised £1,208 for a local women's refuge after staff, patients, friends and family came together to complete a 10km Sunday charity walk.

The team at Billericay Dental Care organised the walk as part of the practice's ongoing commitment to supporting local charities and giving back to the community beyond dentistry.

The event brought together members of the dental team, local residents, patients, friends and family, all walking in support of women and children affected by domestic abuse. The money raised will go towards helping provide vital support, safety and resources for those who need it most.

Dr Sheena Tanna, Principal Dentist at Billericay Dental Care, said: "We are absolutely delighted to have raised £1,208 for such an important cause. As a practice, we have always believed that Billericay Dental Care should be more than just a place people come for dental treatment. We want to be part of the community, support local people and use our team spirit to make a positive difference wherever we can."

She added: "The walk was a real team effort, and it was lovely to see staff, patients, friends and family all coming together on a Sunday to support women and children who may be going through an incredibly difficult time. We are so grateful to everyone who donated, walked with us or helped spread the word."

Billericay Dental Care regularly supports charitable causes throughout the year, with the team taking part in fundraising activities and community initiatives alongside their work caring for patients.
