Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30. Salary: Competitive salary in the range of 26,000 to 28,000 per year, based on experience. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm and paying between 26,500 - 30,000 per annum depending on experience. Your key duties in this Senior Customs Clerk role will include but are not limited to:
Streamline are currently recruiting for an Import Clerk based out of Basildon. This is a direct permanent role were you would join the company directly following a successful interview process, this will be an office based role. Payrate - 28,500 (Hourly Equivalent 14.16) Rota - Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17.30 (37.5 Hour week) Duties - - Entering jobs and manifests onto the FMS system, which tracks and manages the flow of goods throughout the supply chain - Supplying the warehouse and depots with the information required to off-load trailers efficiently, including details about shipment size, weight, route, and special handling requirements - Communicating with Agents and customers to determine their needs and requirements for timely deliveries, answering questions, providing updates, and addressing concerns or issues - Collating necessary information from Hauliers regarding their arrival and departure times, ensuring that all shipments are delivered on schedule - Calculating prices and costs for certain manifests on a daily basis, reviewing the details of each shipment and determining the appropriate charges - Updating spreadsheets with relevant information to ensure that all data is accurate and up to date - Providing exceptional customer service, maintaining positive relationships with Agents and customers alike - Supporing the Department Manager in ensuring the smooth running of the department and the timely delivery of all shipments with the utmost care and attention to detail. - Assist the dept manager with the consolidation and presentation of data for monthly KPI reporting Requirements - Be able to provide 5 years full work history Pass a basic DBS check Minimum of 2 years experience in a simillar role Experience with road freight Beneficial - Knowledge / experience with EDI's (Electronic data interchange)
